Control System Engineer

As Control System Engineer you are responsible for designing and creating software-related operating systems. You draw up a (technical) Theory of Operation and work it out in a Software Design Document. You convert this document into software programs from Rockwell and / or Siemens. You also make a FAT / SAT document that describes how the PLC code should be tested. You also provide support to the Parts & Services department for the detection and resolving of control engineering faults in projects that have already been delivered. During the test phase you provide support, if necessary, with the commissioning of the projects on location.   The preparation of the projects takes place at the office.


You have knowledge of:

  • PLC control systems from Rockwell and / or Siemens
  • Electrical, pneumatic or hydraulic control systems
  • Frequency inverters
  • Industrial networks
  • Drafting of FAT / SAT reports
  • Methods such as Hazard analysis and FMEA 

Job requirements:

  • You have at least a Bachelor degree (eg Bachelor Electrical Engineering or Industrial automation) and a number of years relevant experience in industrial automation
  • You have good knowledge of modern operating systems
  • You have the analytical ability to understand problems and to tackle them in a structured way
  • You are a team player and familiar with working in project teams
  • You are communicative in word and writing in English
  • You have a customer- and service-oriented mentality and appropriate work attitude and behavior.
