EHS Specialist

The Development & Engineering (D&E) safety department is responsible for supporting global product safety & compliance, procedure safety, and Occupational Health & Safety (EHS) in research and development (R&D) settings.

As part of our initiative to future-proof our technical areas, they need to adhere to 5S+1 compliance following the 5S methodology: sort, set in order, shine, standardize, sustain the cycle, and safety. This fosters continuous improvement to achieve an inspiring and professional work environment. Your mission as the 5S1 coordinator is to contribute to and facilitate 5S+1 improvement programs, fostering a culture of continuous improvement through the 5S+1 methodology.

Your responsibilities:

• Perform daily audits to check the 5S+1 status in R&D technical areas
• Arrange follow-up with stakeholders to ensure 5S+1 compliance
• Responsible for 5S+1 training
• Track, monitor, and regularly report on 5S+1 status to all stakeholders
• Develop and communicate KPIs and dashboards for continuous improvement measurement with stakeholders
• Support and review plant processes, procedures, and performance using evaluation tools, making recommendations for improvement

• Technical engineering education (MBO/HBO)
• Safety education MVK (middelbaar veiligheidskunde)
• Ability to convince others to prioritize safety, especially to academically educated users of test setups
• Deadline-oriented
• Creative in finding safety solutions in diverse circumstances
