Process Engineer

For a well known company located in Tilburg I am looking for a Process Engineer who is analytically strong and result-oriented. This company is leader in the development and mass production of push belts for the continuously variable transmission (CVT).

In this role you will be developing and industrializing innovative production technologies and are a partner on thin metal forming processes for tool suppliers, customers and other stakeholders in development projects.

Your responsibilities include:

• Development of new manufacturing processes for thin metal products;
• Planning and execution of your process development activities within project teams;
• Enable mass manufacturability, in cooperation with product development engineers;
• Support cost reduction, problem solving and improvement projects, when required;
• Ensure adequate documentation and reporting of your activities.

Further requirements:

• Relevant Bachelor or Master degree like Mechanical Engineering, Production technology, Material Science, Aerospace Engineering, Applied Physics;
• Working experience with metal forming, preferably in design and release of tools and dies for mass production of thin sheet products, this could also be an internship if you are a starter;
• Interested in related topics like ergonomics and esp. cleanliness requirements for production processes;
• Able to evaluate technical drawings and 3D-models, experience with CAD is a big plus;
• Understanding of process capabilities and statistics, experience with Minitab is a plus;
• Familiar with engineering tools like FMEA, moreover willing to keep on learning;
• Excellent oral and writing skills in English.
