vacancies.introduction

As a Production Engineer in Eindhoven you design, maintain and continuously improve the production processes behind complex, high-precision linear actuators for advanced semiconductor manufacturing systems.

On behalf of a leading high-tech manufacturer in the semiconductor industry, Trinamics is looking for a Production Engineer. You will work in a lean manufacturing environment where quality is the top priority and safety is the foundation of everything the team does. A dedicated lab supports product introductions, process validation and continuous improvement, so new products and process changes can be prepared, tested and stabilised before they move into volume production.

You work full-time in day shift: roughly 90% of your time at the production site in Eindhoven and about 10% at the site in Oirschot.

You design, maintain and improve robust production processes so that actuators are delivered at the highest quality, and you adapt those processes to changing output requirements. As part of a project team you make sure all manufacturability aspects of new product introductions are delivered in line with the product generation process.

  • You carry out work preparation in the broadest sense: operating instructions, process flow charts, production sequences, tooling, process parameters and performance indicators.
  • You provide second-line support to the production organisation when first-line support needs additional expertise to resolve process disturbances.
  • You perform failure analyses on customer quality complaints and on non-conforming products and processes.
  • You define the required quantity of production tools, secure their availability, initiate upgrades, support maintenance and help resolve safety-related issues.
  • You optimise production processes and drive issue tracking and problem solving to support the transfer of products into the volume organisation.
  • You coach and train operators and engineers to strengthen skills and secure product and process knowledge.
  • You provide technical support to new product introduction (NPI) activities and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • You analyse production processes during the pilot phase of NPI projects, identify structural issues and bottlenecks, develop improvement proposals and drive implementation together with development & engineering, the production team and logistics.
  • You bring manufacturing knowledge into new product development, so production risks are anticipated during the design phase and cost effectiveness improves.

You work closely with production, engineering and logistics, and with stakeholders such as development & engineering, product lifecycle management and sourcing & supply chain. Within the production engineering group there are opportunities to grow into a coordinating role, with more focus on work distribution and prioritisation, escalation management, developing junior engineers and supporting complex cross-departmental projects.
