In deze functie werk je aan de ontwikkeling en toepassing van mechanische ontwerpen die voldoen aan systeemvereisten en operationele specificaties. Je draagt bij aan de voortgang van de productontwikkeling en zorgt ervoor dat de ontwerpen voldoen aan de vereiste prestaties en de verwachtingen van de klant.

- Een afgeronde HBO of WO opleiding in de richting van werktuigbouwkunde
- Minimaal 8 jaar ervaring in een technische R&D omgeving, bij voorkeur in de precisie-engineering
- Ervaring met 3D CAD software, bij voorkeur Siemens NX of vergelijkbare tools
- Grondige kennis van geometrische dimensionering en toleranties (GD&T)
- Kennis van FEM-analyse en constructieprincipes
- Ervaring met het ontwerpen van mechatronische systemen is een pré
- Ervaring met kostenoptimalisatie en manufacturability technieken is een pré
- Goede communicatieve vaardigheden in het Engels
- Een pragmatische en creatieve denker met sterke analytische capaciteiten

- Specifiëren en ontwerpen van modules en functionaliteiten om de vereiste prestaties te realiseren
- Evalueren en implementeren van verbeteringsvoorstellen
- Gebruik maken van moderne ontwerp- en constructiemethoden om haalbare ontwerpen te waarborgen
- Meewerken aan de kwalificatie van het ontwerp door testspecificaties op te stellen en testapparatuur te ontwerpen en realiseren
- Zorgen dat prototypes worden gebouwd en tests worden uitgevoerd
- Leveren van technische productdocumentatie voor de vrijgave van het ontwerp voor massaproductie
- Werken binnen multidisciplinaire projecten in een Agile Release Train op het gebied van XT Waferstage
