As a Manufacturing Engineer, you are the technical expert responsible for defining, optimizing and implementing manufacturing processes for complex high-tech products. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams, support engineering and production, drive process improvements and ensure manufacturability from the earliest stages of product development.   • Bachelor's degree (HBO) or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics or a related engineering discipline.
  • At least 7 years of experience as a Manufacturing Engineer or similar position within a high-tech manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with complex assembly processes and precision manufacturing.
  • Strong knowledge of New Product Introduction (NPI) and Design for Manufacturing (DfM).
  • Experience with manufacturing documentation such as PFMEA, Control Plans and Manufacturing Bills of Materials (M-BOM).
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and Continuous Improvement methodologies.
  • Experience with Value Stream Mapping (VSM) and process optimization techniques.
  • Green Belt or Black Belt Lean Six Sigma certification is considered an advantage.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience working with multidisciplinary project teams.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken.

  • Act as the manufacturing expert during new product introductions and engineering projects.
  • Evaluate Requests for Quotation (RFQs) from a manufacturing perspective.
  • Design, develop and implement efficient production and manufacturing processes.
  • Perform Design for Manufacturing (DfM) and manufacturability reviews.
  • Collaborate closely with Product Engineering, Production, Supply Chain and Quality teams.
  • Represent Manufacturing Engineering in Change Control Boards (CCB) and project teams.
  • Create and maintain manufacturing documentation, including PFMEA, Control Plans and M-BOMs.
  • Develop production layouts using Value Stream Mapping and material flow analysis.
  • Estimate production resources, manufacturing capacity and shop floor requirements.
  • Monitor and improve production efficiency, quality and delivery performance.
  • Lead Continuous Improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing and structured problem-solving methodologies.
  • Analyze production issues and provide third-line technical support for complex manufacturing challenges.
  • Drive process optimization projects to improve quality, efficiency, safety and operational performance.
  • Monitor departmental KPIs and initiate corrective actions where required.
