As a (Senior) Equipment Engineer, you are responsible for the performance, reliability, and continuous improvement of critical production equipment within a high-tech semiconductor environment. You work at a fixed location in Eindhoven (High Tech Campus) and play a key role in ensuring high equipment availability and stable wafer production.

You take full ownership of your equipment, driving uptime and reliability (MTBF/MTTR), and collaborate closely with operators, technicians, and suppliers. In this role, you combine deep technical expertise with a proactive, results-driven mindset. The technologies you work on are applied worldwide in areas such as automotive, IoT, and medical innovations.

  • Salary between €4,500 and €6,500 gross per month, depending on seniority and experience

  • MBO, HBO or WO degree in a technical field
  • At least 7 years of experience as an Equipment Engineer or Maintenance Engineer within semiconductor, MEMS or foundry environments
  • Proven experience with wafer fabs and cleanroom processes
  • Hands-on knowledge of Dry Etching, PVD and/or PECVD (must-have)
  • Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
  • Knowledge of vacuum systems, robotics, control systems and automation
  • Strong sense of ownership, analytical skills and a proactive mindset
  • Good communication skills and comfortable working in an international environment
  • Willingness to work 5 days per week on site

  • Take ownership of assigned equipment and systems, ensuring uptime, MTBF/MTTR and efficiency
  • Analyze performance data and initiate improvements, upgrades and modifications
  • Develop, plan and execute preventive and corrective maintenance activities
  • Perform root cause analyses and implement structural improvements
  • Release equipment for production after maintenance or modifications
  • Create and maintain technical documentation (PM procedures, spare parts lists, FMEA)
  • Act as project owner for tool modifications and support IQ/OQ and new equipment introductions
  • Work closely with operations, maintenance and suppliers
  • Coach and support equipment engineers and technicians
