Lead Engineer Vehicle Energy & CO2 Simulations

• Define and manage simulation plans for Vehicle Energy & CO2 simulations.
• Develop vehicle simulation models, conduct simulations, and analyze fuel/energy consumption, CO2 emissions, and driveability at both the vehicle and total DAF fleet levels.
• Translate analyses into conclusions and design recommendations, reporting at both technical and management levels.
• Align Technical Analysis activities and deliverables with Vehicle Definition, Vehicle Testing, Vehicle Engineering departments, and globally with other PACCAR divisions.
• Stay updated on new technologies in the fields of fuel economy, CO2 emissions, alternative powertrains, and thermodynamics to maintain domain knowledge.
• Enhance CAE capabilities by introducing and implementing new methods and tools at DAF and other PACCAR divisions.

• Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Automotive/Aerospace Engineering, Applied Physics.
• At least 5 years of relevant work experience, preferably in the Automotive Industry.
• Proven experience in leading a team of technical experts.
• Demonstrated affinity/experience with numerical simulations on powertrains and energy management.
• Knowledge and experience with MATLAB/Simulink.
• Strong analytic and organizational skills.
• Effective communication skills in Dutch and English.
• Customer-oriented team player with a proactive and result-driven work style.
