Mechatronic Design Engineer Mobile Robotics

If you are a Mechatronic Engineer, you will have the opportunity to apply your advanced knowledge of engineering fundamentals to contribute to engineering and design. Your primary focus will be on supporting the development of Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMRs).

• Design and develop mechatronic systems, such as control systems, sensing systems, and actuation systems for ARMs.
• Help out with the integration of the mechatronic systems with the overall robot system.
• Develop algorithms for controlling the motion and behavior of the ARMs.

Validate the performance and reliability and ensure growth and improvements by:

• conducting tests and simulations • Ensuring requirements and specifications are met and ensuring a smooth implementation.
• Staying up to date with industry trends and advancements in mechatronics technology.
• Optimizing processes to meet up with the increased product volumes, while ensuring interchangeability and compatibility.

REQUIRED

• BSc or MSc degree in Mechatronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in mechatronic engineering or a related field, preferably in the autonomous mobile robot industry.
• Knowledge of control systems, robotics, and mechatronics. • Familiar with working with sensors, actuators, and other mechatronic components.
• Skillful in programming languages such as C++, Python, and MATLAB.
• Excellent communication skills.

PREFERRED

• Experience with SolidWorks and its PDM/PLM systems.
• Knowledge of EPlan.
• Design experience specifically with AMRs.
• Experience using Finite Element Analysis (FEA) tools to verify designs.
