Value Engineer Circular Economy

At one of our cliënts in Eindhoven, a high tech machine builder, we are looking for a Value Engineer!

As a Value Engineer, you will be a key player in driving profitability through the improvement of product value and cost reduction. You will be an expert regarding transitions from a linear to a circular economy. Your main responsibilities are:

• Leading re-use cost assessments and business case initiatives through cross-functional workshops with project teams, technical experts, procurement, and suppliers
• You will report on waste and re-use value of parts in re-use projects
• Challenge critical part costs, and help establish re-use means and methods for Value Engineering topics
• Support project teams and create trainings on re-use value engeineering methodologies
• Propose cost models for re-use assessments
• Contribute to the zero-waste mindset by challenging and collaborating with engineers and suppliers to implement re-use opportunities

• BSc or MSc in a technical field
• Proven experience in product cost optimization, target costing, cost structure analysis and recycling material
• Familiar with value engineering methods and techniques
• Fluent in English
