Junior Thermal Control Engineer with MATLAB and/or Simulink

Thermal energy is everywhere. We put hundreds of kilowatts into machines to get things moving, and we are concerned about milliwatts, microkelvins and ultimately picometers of thermal expansion. All to get good optical performance in our lithography machines, that are used in semiconductor chip manufacturing. Are you interested by thermal energy and chip manufacturing?
You’d better contact us today! We are looking for someone who is available for the coming two and a half years in Eindhoven area, Netherlands.

In this role as a Thermal Control Engineer you help build high tech machines. You align with your ream leader and colleagues from different disciplines on priorities and possible escalation support. You also discuss the next step on the thermal controller optimization study.
You collect latest measurement results from the machine you programmed, isolating the thermal performance under investigation. Beside these activities you will prepare a presentation for the comparison between your theoretical analysis and the empirical results. You need it to convince the stakeholders of your design-change proposal.

MSc degree in System Control Engineering or similar is needed.
A PhD in System Control or specialization or solid understanding of Thermal Engineering.
Experience with MATLAB, Simulink or similar simulation packages are needed.
Experience in the semiconductor/high tech machine industry and thermal (control) engineering are a big plus.
Excellent verbal and written professional communication in English.
Overall looking for an enthusiastic, pro-active, hands on mentality team player.
