Mechanical Design Engineer

Are you a fresh graduate Electrical or Mechanical Engineer or are you looking for a next step in your career? For a client located in Goes we are looking for a jr/mr/sr Mechanical Design Engineer. In this position you will be working in a environment where you have the chance to fill in your own role. You will support the project engineer by use of CAD tools, calculations and investigating. The projects you will be working on are introduction and optimization of existing models obtained through acquisition into a serial production environment.

There’s a lot of troubleshooting involved and communication with other departments. A hands-on mentality is preferred, but it’s not a condition.

• BSc or MSc in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering with 0 to 10 years’ related experience.
• We have possibilities for junior, medior and senior candidates.
• Proficient in material strength calculation skills, operating SolidWorks software and in operating Microsoft Office products.
• Ability to identify the root cause of defective parts of product design solutions, including manufactured and purchased component sizing.
• Knowledge in some or all of the following areas: FEA, hydraulics, electronics, engine systems, statistics, strength of materials, durability and serviceability of products.
• Ability to read schematics of systems and troubleshoot against requirements.
• Ability to maintain a high level of attention to detail.
• Demonstration of good verbal and written communication skills in Dutch or English.
