Quality Control Engineer

The role of the QC Engineer is to ensure the quality of inspections, both internal and external. This includes implementing and designing procedures and policies to meet quality standards and ensure that engineering, production, and manufacturing processes comply with these standards. The QC Engineer is also responsible for ensuring the company operates effectively and remains competitive.

ACTIVITIES

A. General:

• Manage and oversee project quality to ensure compliance with codes, standards, regulations, equipment specifications, and quality management system (QMS) requirements.
• Drive quality achievement and performance improvement throughout the organization

B. Activities:

• Conduct inspections of the production process, from initial stages to final assembly.
• Inspect structural, piping, and equipment components.
• Prepare Inspection Release Notes and Inspection reports.
• Develop project-related specifications.
• Review welding, NDT (Non-Destructive Testing), and Quality documents.
• Coordinate inspections with Third Party and Authority Inspection Organizations.
• Verify documentation from sub-vendors.
• Identify and manage project documentation.
• Monitor work progress and document flow.
• Ensure all materials procured or supplied meet project requirements.
• Provide vendor assessment and relevant data to the assigned project buyer.
• Generate appraisal and non-conformance reports for distribution and approval.
• Establish service standards for end users (internal departments or external customers).

C. Other:

• Ensure all work and tasks comply with the company's ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and OHSAS 18001 QHSE Procedures.
• Assist the company in achieving "Best Practice" and "First Time Right" objectives.
• Demonstrate commercial awareness in making business decisions.
• Complete all relevant assigned tasks.
• Maintain a neat and organized work environment within the department.
• Travel as required for job responsibilities.

• Prepare accurate, thorough, and detailed written reports/documents.

• Take personal ownership and accountability for assignments.

SKILLS

• International Welding Technology or equivalent certification.
• Experience and knowledge of various inspection and NDE methods for welding and coatings.
• Familiarity with international rules and codes such as AWS, ASME, ISO, PED, API, etc.
• Understanding of KOG products and activities.
• Interest and knowledge of mechanical and structural aspects within the Oil & Gas industry.
• Proficiency in both written and spoken Dutch and English languages.
