The Configuration Change expert coordinates product change requests and is a key participant in the development projects in the Product Generation process. The change expert will interface with projects leaders, lead engineers and representatives of the Operational departments as a steward of the Configuration and Master data Management process. For the product change requests he/she validates the quality, consistency and timely availability of the Bill of Materials, Configuration documents and Master data.
In this function you will be expected to use your knowledge of the ASML developments and change & release processes for new products. You have a good understanding of the business functions supported by product data to advise on implementation strategies and consequences of the change requests.
Through preparing detailed data and impact analysis you enable decision making on implementation strategy and safeguard the consistency and availability of product data for all operational business functions. With your knowledge of methods, tools and functions you release data and enable a smooth transfer of product developments from the Engineering environment to the Operations environment. You manage and report the status of the change request for the configurations you are responsible for. Even more, with your personal and communication skills you will be able to involve and align cross sector stakeholders within the process. You initiate and realize improvements on product data management and functional release.
Context of the position
The Configuration Management team within Global Logistic Services (GLS) manages global configuration information, enabling ASML to achieve excellent delivery performance at minimum cost. It creates and controls machine configurations and related master data for ASML's Development & Engineering, Global Logistics Services, Manufacturing and Customer Services departments.
ASML produces some of the most complex systems in the world, working against huge time to market pressures. GLS is our world-leading supply chain management organization, responsible for ensuring material availability at ASML factories and customers. To meet customer demands for the latest technologies, ASML employs concurrent engineering, developing systems and supply chains in parallel with system specifications. Many of the components required push our suppliers to the limits of their capabilities, and GLS works with them to avoid delays in a supply chain that reaches seven tiers deep – all while being aware that system specifications could change at any moment until the system is shipped.
Higher vocational/ Academic level in industrial / logistics / engineering or technical business Administration.
