For our client ASML, a fast dynamic technical company delivering high value machines for the semi-conductor industry, we are looking for a configuration expert electronics. The sector Development & Engineering (D&E) of ASML is responsible for the specification, design and realization of the products in the ASML portfolio. Within the sector D&E the department Electronic Development (EDEV) is responsible for the definition, realization and qualification of electronic functions, modules, (sub) systems and infrastructure within these products. An important aspect in creating parts and building modules and (sub) systems, and finally complete Lithographic Machines, is Configuration Management (CM). CM plays a role throughout the complete ASML organization: System Engineering, Development, Manufacturing, Procurement, etc.. As EDEV department we must contribute to the overall Configuration Management Processes and Requirements and have to make sure that CM is embedded and executed correctly within our department. As we are in our next phase of improving CM within ASML, we are looking for a Configuration Expert Electronics.

You will be member of the EDEV Configuration Management team.


Job Mission
As EDEV Configuration Expert Electroncis you are responsible for the governance of the “overall ASML CM rules” within EDEV, and implementing the ASML Configuration-, Change- and Release- management means and methods into the EDEV engineering processes and way of working together with EDEV staff. Furthermore you are contributing to ASML wide initiatives for configuration management and change process improvements.

Job Description
Overall ASML CM:

  • Contribute to ASML CM process improvements on for CM policy, roadmap and architecture.
  • EDEV representative and participant in ASML CM process improvement projects. EDEV internal CM:
  • Translate and implement the overall ASML CM policy, roadmap and architecture to EDEV context for product structure in cooperation with System Engineering and other D&E CM Experts.
  • Contributing and advising the CM means, methods and Way of Working (WoW) with the “EDEV configuration specialists”.
  • Roll-out the CM WoW to the EDEV change management process users (all people involved in CM process).
  • Define and maintain the EDEV change management training (currently “EME training module U”). Act as trainer for new EDEV engineers and co-developers.



  • BSc or MSc degree in a technical field (preferably Electrical Engineering or similar).
  • Educated configuration expert (CMII course) and/or having practical experience in the CM area.


  • Knowledge of product configuration management (CMII approach).
  • As from 3 - 5 years of experience in a development- and production environment.
  • Knowledge of Team Center Engineering and SAP.

  • Affinity with product structures and architectures.
  • Pragmatic.
  • Fluent in English in speaking and writing and we have a strong preference for Dutch language skills.
