Job description

You work in the department of Application Software (Embedded engineering) and you are responsible for the engine aftreatment sub-domain. The functional areas in this domain control engine aftertreatment functionalities. Among them: SCR and DPF controls, NOx and PM control related to driver interface and diagnostics in combination with the engine controller.  The functionalities support input/output processing of sensors and actuators, thermal management etcetera. Are part of a multidisciplinary work approach as well.

 

Your responsibilities:

·          Secure knowledge and have technical lead in domain and maintain overview

·          Create architecture within this area, in cooperation with the function lead engineer.

·          Support the product owner in planning, prioritizing, analyzing and evaluating software implementation

·          Discuss functional requirements in your functional area with the author of the technical requirement documents;

·          Support embedded software engineers in designing and testing software implementation;

·          Responsible for planning and reporting status of issues in your domain, in agreement with the functional lead engineer.

You are also a member of the agile software development team responsible for developing application software functions according to input requirements. You provide functional know-how to the team.


Eisen

Job requirements

·          Minimum a M.Sc. with specialization in Control theory or mechanical / automotive engineering

·          You bring a minimum of 3 years experience with engine aftertreatment functional domain

·          Knowledge of Embedded software and experience with real-time embedded systems

·          You poses analytical skills and the ability to abstract from a given situation

·          Clear communication skills to explain complex technical information

·          You are an excellent listener and able to synthesize, also you have the ability to work across several groups with several levels of knowledge and skill

·          You are an excellent communicator in English both written and verbal, Willing to learn Dutch

Also very nice to have:

·          Experience with model-based design techniques, preferably with Simulink or Stateflow

·          Agile scrum working experience

·          Process supporting tools for defect management, calibration and programming

·          OBD, CAN communication and diagnostics knowledge

·          Automotive safety and standards knowledge (ISO 26262, AutoSAR, SPICE)
