For our client, a fast dynamic technical company delivering high value machines, we are looking for a Project Lead Software / Project Lead Software Tools and Infrastructure. You will be part of multiple Design and Engineering departments and operational departments such as supply chain and manufacturing.

Job Description

The project lead is responsible for creating a team plan and organizing the development of a new module for a new platform using the ‘we can do’ mentality. Reporting will be done towards the line management group



Project management skills on at least Master level in combination with Computer Science experience or equivalent



§  "T-shaped" Relevant knowledge in one critical discipline

§  Sufficient knowledge across relevant other disciplines for this module: can ask all the right questions to identify and facilitate problem solving in this module

§  Basic system level knowledge

§  Functional competencies and skills:

§  Sets up a team structure that reflects the work content of WBS

§  Installs efficient meeting rhythm, ensuring team is at right information level and interdependencies are identified and managed

§  Understands proper escalation paths and acts accordingly

§  Creates and uses detailed project plan (deliverables, who, when)

§  Identifies critical path of the project

§  Ensures linkage to master plan

§  Defines clear and quantifiable priorities

§  Acts on what he can anticipate

§  Allocates work and appoints owners to logical "buckets" of deliverables in line with team structure

§  Checks if deliverables are finalized on time and in budget - intervenes where needed

§  Runs focused meetings, aimed at realizing objectives

§  Understands how own module links to the total system

§  Proactively proposes changes in own module (and adjacent modules) that are beneficial to the whole system


As PL2, but technical risk assessment based on input from PLs

§  Solve problems based on deep and broad content knowledge

As PL, but

§  Is able to lead collaborative problem solving sessions with Design Engineers, Architects and TLs
